The entire team of the Precision Oncology Bioinformatics Unit (UBOP), led by Dr David Cordero, attended the 2nd Meeting of the Clinical Bioinformatics Group of Catalonia, held at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.
The meeting brought together professionals from different hospitals to share experiences and discuss the rollout of OMIQ-HES, the results of the first clinical bioinformatics census, and the challenges surrounding the professionalisation and recognition of this discipline within the Catalan healthcare system.
The meeting, in which the UBOP played an active role in terms of both organization and participation, also served as an opportunity to share real-world use cases, pool knowledge, and strengthen collaboration between centers.
The event highlights the growth and consolidation of clinical bioinformatics in Catalonia, as well as the importance of collaborative work to continue advancing precision oncology.
